| The SureTrack Solution consists
of:
• Hardware - a Siemens TC35 GSM Modem for remote programming
and macro location tracking.
- A PCB with microprocessor and onboard intelligence, motion and
temperature sensors.
- A Lithium D-Cell with a 2-3 years life
- An RF Beacon for pinpoint location.
• Track2Find software, which is the purpose-built alarm receiving
center and monitoring software system
• National Recovery Network
SureTrack spends much of its life in standby mode to preserve battery
power and is programmed and controlled by text messages (SMS), working
in the same way as your mobile phone. When your phone is switched
off, any text messages sent to your phone are stored in the mobile
network until your phone is switched back on. SureTrack operates in
the same way. The standard configuration for an SureTrack unit is
for it to be in standby mode for 5 hours, and then wake up and connect
to the network for 1 minute to receive an activation instruction
upon receipt of a theft alarm from the Bureau, an internal alarm
from onboard either the movement sensor or anti-tamper switch.
Upon activation of the SureTrack alarm, the GSM network provides the
mast macro location to which the unit is reporting. The Bureau arranges
an appropriate response, sending this location to a member of the
National Recovery Team.
The National Recovery network is capable of reaching any location
in the UK within 1-1.5 hours. SureTrack has a built in directional radio
frequency homing device, which can be tracked to an accuracy of
sub 1 meter. Once the asset is located, and positively identified,
the police are called in to make arrests and reclaim the asset.
