Sure-track MT2 Asset Tracking Device

Key Features and Benefits

Protect your asset or plant and machinery with the Sure-track MT2 asset tracking device designed specifically for use with all kinds of plant machinery, equipment and vehicles. Whether you're a small hirer or national with a large fleet, the Sure-track MT2 asset tracking device can help you track and monitor your plant, machinery and equipment and, in the event that they are stolen or lost, get it recovered and returned back to you.

Sure-track MT2 units track vehicles and assets using GPS, GPRS and GSM technology. The Sure-track MT2 is superior to a GPS satellite system as it can locate a stolen asset inside multi-storey car parks, buildings, garages, trucks and containers. For more information view the key features and benefits below:

S.T.E.P. GSM Positioning

Sure-track MT2 utilises the revolutionary new S.T.E.P. GSM technology. This allows very accurate positioning (averaging between 8 - 500 metres) which is a benefit for the management of a fleet of vehicles or assets by web access.

The latest GSM based positioning technology achieves unparalleled accuracy by incorporating three dimensional signal loss propagation maps. This gives circa 30x the accuracy of previous 'Cell ID' based GSM technology. This GSM accuracy is very efficient for the search, find and recovery of your plant, machinery or equipment, ensuring your assets are returned to you quickly.

Figure 1. Shows the position of an MT2 Trial unit (X) as shown using GSM Cell I.D. technology. This Cell positioning is notoriously inaccurate is many cases.

Figure 2. X Marks the actual position of the Sure-track MT2 unit. ‘1,2 & 3’ Show the predicted positions calculated by the S.T.E.P. software. Bureau Operators can view a map of the cell site (giving an approximate position of between 50 and 500 metres) showing where the unit was when it last woke up – see Figure 2. Unlike previous technologies, the server retains a history of the units positions and a ‘snail trail’ can be produced of its positions.

Bespoke Battery

The Sure-track MT2 has a sophisticated bespoke power pack, using a mix of different cells and chemistries to maximise performance and reliability. This proven power management system gives the unit a guaranteed 3 years on standard configuration in good coverage.

Asset Security Alarms

The Sure-track MT2 can be configured to alert the Bureau Desk ('Bureau') if it is moving or has been tampered with. The Bureau can also request the unit into alarm remotely. The Sure-track MT2 has a number of different sensors to trigger an alarm to the Bureau who will notify you, by SMS, of any alarms received.

Battery Power Servicing

The Sure-track MT2 is battery powered; when the battery gets low the unit will notify the Bureau that the unit should be returned for servicing. All units are Over-the-air (OTA) capable and so can benefit from updated functionality without having to be returned.

Covert Asset Tracking

The Sure-track MT2 will wake once every hour (default) making it virtually undetectable. GSM tracking is ideal for covert tracking, utilising GSM cellular networks to send and receive updates. GSM trackers are inexpensive amd smaller then GPS trackers as they're smaller in size and they dont require radio powered anntenas to communicate with GPS satellites.

Continuous Asset / Vehicle Tracking

The Sure-track MT2 records a position every time it reports in (default 6 hours) giving a full history of recorded positions. Each report also contains battery information & unit statistics, removing the need to 'health check' units.
